Blinded by truth?

Written 20090908 at 08:34

I was blind but now I can see.

Amazing grace for sure. What The lesson for today," learned", is a revelation to me.

How can someone go through all of their life blindfolded? Think a certain way, only to have the rug pulled out from under them. Are we ever to old to learn? I think not and I do not mind admitting when I am wrong.

I have been called many things, but I have always believed in truth. I must admit , to be so old, I am very sheltered. This makes me...

Gold and it's weight

How do we see our self in the mirror? A mirage of visionary illusions or maybe delusions?
What if our eyes could see how others view our mirrored image, would we be shocked?

"As with sound, images are subjective. You and I may not see the same color red as red, but we will probably agree that the image on the screen is a digital image or film image, based on contrast, bit depth, and refresh rate" Quoted by.

Into the future

Written 20080702 at 07:06

The future is unknown and always faced with apprehension. No matter how much we prepare for it, the x factor is missing. As I write about it , there is a feeling of doom in the pit of my stomach. So I create sifi pictures. Something that has not yet come to pass. Like a quest for the Holy Grail. Just as there was yesterday and today, tomorrow will come. I want so many thing to come true. I wish my dreams would be answered. I wish to find the knowledge I seek. I wish for happi...

The Present.....

The Present

The past present and future. We have reviewed the past and now move into the present. It can sometimes be chaotic ,confusing, and unfair, but it is during this time of our journey, we get to make it right before we step into the future. So every day we do the best we can. We try and figure out the why. We get to make it right before we go to sleep, for when we wake up it will be tomorrow and that is our future. We get to do this over and over. It is the never ending s...

A gallery of PAST from :Past Present and Future

Written 20080616 at 07:52

Some pictures that represent the past to me personally. Like my cover picture.. The broken Mirror is how I found it resting against a standing fireplace. The rest of the house was gone. Swept away by the great surge from the Gulf, as Katrina took houses three deep in it's path on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Does the broken mirror represent seven years of hell to come?

A crop that breaks the rule but works for me.

I would never have cropped this picture of two dancers in such a tight way. Somethings happen quite by accident and you say... damn I like it. I actually liked it so much, it has taken the position of my computers wallpaper. I look at it every day and each day I love it more . What I love most about art is the creation . There is no right or wrong because rules are meant to be broken, that is how new art is found!

Keep on dancing and I will never close a door to a new...

my touch seems to be a parasox

My hand is viewed through a cover of softness. My touch is like velvet.
'The softest of stuff in the world
Penetrates quickly the hardest;
Insubstantial, it enters
Where no room is' by LAO-TZU

The way of life seems to be a paradox sometimes. To Me.

memories stored for a rainy day

Written 20080531 at 10:52

20 yrs ago I bought a beautiful hammered brass cuff bracelet with a blue stone . The artist who made it had her initials engraved on the inside. That was when I took her picture. Being Native American she was terrified that I had taken her soul away with my camera. As I walked away, I looked back and our eyes met. That memory , her sitting on a blanket ,in the town square of Santa fee New Mexico, has never tarnished. Twenty years later I went back and tried to find her. No o...
